OUR OWN LATOYA BROOKS WILL BE DANCING IN NBA ALL-STAR GAME!!!
Brooks set to dance at NBA All-Star game
Utica native Latoya Brooks was one of eight women selected to dance at the 2011 NBA All-Star game in Los Angeles.
The game will be at 8 p.m. Sunday on TNT. In addition to attending festivities prior to the game, she will be dancing during the opening performance by Lenny Kravitz and the half-time show performed by Rihanna.

Anissiya Thompson landed a role in a local commercial called "CNY Fit Kids". She tap dances in the commercial. Dancenter would just like to congratulate one of their very own! Look for her in the upcoming commercial!

The Leatherstocking Ballet Company were present at the Sugar Plum Ball hosted by Faxton-St Lukes. This year's theme was Alice in Wonderland! Our girls were in costume and character, available for the entire evening to interact, dance, and for photo ops with all the attendees!

The performance took place on December 2009 at the Stanley Performing Arts Center.
Broadway Theaters production of "The Wizard of Oz"
Marisa Medici (8), Sophia Putrello (10) and Anissiya Thompson (9) were selected for The Broadway Theaters production of "The Wizard of Oz". Show dates are November 16th and 17th at 8pm at the Stanley Performing Arts Center. Twelve children were selected from the Utica area to play munchkins.

Great job to the dancers who participated in
the workshop held at the United Academy Of The
Performing Arts!
Three fun-filled hours of non-stop
dancing! Dancers included:
Cristiana, Kaleigh,
Caitlyn, Lexi, Jen, Anna, Devaney, Claire and Emily.
Congratulations to Beth and Leah
They took a 3 hour workshop taught by radio city
rockette and learned choreography from the rockette
repetoire, including the world famous kickline.
Additionally, they went through a "mock auditio" plus
had a q and a session. Ending the day was a tour
of Radio city music hall.
Dancenter invited to perform at the Heritage
Home in Utica!

*Dancers please arrive on time with hair in a bun/make
up/earrings. All group numbers performing will
wear all black-leotard/tights/shorts and all solos/duets
